The RECBot model is very similar to the Squarebot model; in fact, it only has one slight modification (a larger wheelbase). This larger wheelbase creates a different turning radius than the Squarebot’s and can be used to apply mathematical formulas with different variables. Like the Squarebot, the RECbot contains useful sensors such as Quadrature Shaft Encoders, an Ultrasonic Rangefinder, Bumper/Limit Switches, and an Accelerometer. It also has a single-jointed arm that can be used to lift objects and an LCD screen to display program debugging information. It can be used to complete most of the challenges, but some of the width-sensitive challenges (such as the Robo Slalom challenges) will require more precise movements.
