ROBOTC Support - Troubleshooting




"Unable to Save File" Error - ROBOTC will not install *Solution:* If the ROBOTC installer is "Unable to save file", this error means that ROBOTC does not have permission to write to a temporary installation directory inside of the Windows folder. The installer needs to opened with Administrator privileges.

Windows VISTA

Step 1: Right Click on the ROBOTC icon. Select "Run as Administrator"

Step 2: Windows VISTA will prompt you to give Administrative Access to this application. Select "Allow" to continue.

User Account Control

Step3: Follow the directions on the installer. ROBOTC should install successfully now.

Step 1: Right Click on the ROBOTC icon. Select "Run as..."

Run As XP

Step 2. At the "Run As" dialog, select the "Following User" dialog and enter the user name and password of a user with administrative rights.

Run As Administrator

Step 3: Follow the directions on the installer. ROBOTC should install successfully now.
