 E-Mail problems?
I subscribe to the forum via E-Mail, and until like a month ago, have gotten every post. I don't have the time to keep checking back for updates, and the RSS feed just isn't structured enough for me. Has anybody else been having these problems?

Shooting a mail to support@robotc.net might help. Also check your spam folder - Xander

 Re: E-Mail problems?
I think it must be related to inactivity at the forums. I got your message via E-Mail the minute it was posted. Haven't posted anything before this in a while . Thanks anyways .

 Re: E-Mail problems?
I get notified whenever a new post has been made or a new thread has been created. If I get a sudden surge in mails, I know we have an active spammer and I get my ban-hammer out.

 Re: E-Mail problems?
I guess this isn't related to the topic, but can the spam filters be made better? For example, a couple weeks ago, two spammers commented on every available subforum. If a brand-new member does this, it's obviously spam. I'm not really criticizing too much though, as I'm sure that we don't see 90 percent of the spam.

 Re: E-Mail problems?
I kill almost all of it within about an hour or two. Vu recently changed the captcha, again. They keep defeating it after a little while, so it's an ongoing process - Xander

 Re: E-Mail problems?
Maybe we should do a one-on-one Skype interview with each new user as part of the approval process.

 Re: E-Mail problems?
I don't know if you were kidding or not (honestly, it could work for a site with a relatively small user base), but it would be interesting to see if something along those lines would work. Have approved members with a certain number of posts do a Turing test chat with new users to approve them. Man I wish I ran a high enough volume site so I could test this.
