Post RX signal from remote controller
I have different VEX controller that appears unable to receive an RX signal from any remote controller at any frequency. I have had my VEX hardware for 4 years, and used easyC for programming until now. This suspect VEX controller unit has successfully been reformatted to robot-C firmware and executed robot-C programs for 6 weeks, until now. Is there anything in software that can mess up the controllers ability to receive the RX signal?

Answer: Yes, software can disable the receiving of the RC signal. The program must contain the line: bIfiAutomomousMode = false; My students had deleted this line from their code, and didn't notice it until after doing extensive hardware troubleshooting. Silly me!
