ROBOTC Version 1.05 unable to upload a file from the NXT
Text file size 8kb, when file upload function is executed from the GUI the file is not uploaded. When I tried to defrag the file system after that the upload file function failed then the defrag failed with a message "I/O failure reading file from the NXT".

I cannot reproduce this issue. I attempted to send a 14KB file to the NXT via the "NXT File Management Utility" by pressing the download button, selecting the file and clicking "OK".
The file transfered without issue to the NXT and reported the correct size of 13.5KB.
Are you sure you're using the newest firmware? Your NXT version should be "FW RobotC 7.15 11May 2007 03:38"
Try resetting your NXT installation by deleting the registry values by changing the "Window" mode to "Expert" and then going to "View - Delete All Registry Values" and restarting RobotC.
Let me know if you continue to have this issue.

The upload works for files that are smaller, I tried files 1 or 2Kb and it works. I shall check the FW tonight and I shall reset the registry for ROBOTC.
I ll let you know if that is enough to fix my issue.
thx. jm.

Hi,
I have checked everything I have also uninstalled and installed ROBOTC, I have also flashed the firmware again and I have used the FW that is available within the ROBOTC 1.05 package...
I am still able to upload small files that I can generate using the exact same program and I am testing the return code for each file API call that I used inside my program... as soon as the file size is getting bigger let's say greater than 9Kb as soon as the upload function stay stuck for few seconds without any "window repainting" and then the function wake up... but the file is not on the PC... I tried also with USB or BT but nothing work... and yes when the upload failed then the defrag failed...
I have also powered off and then on... tried upload...then nothing....!
when the upload failed the only message I can see is "file refresh"
because when the upload works I can see more messages about the upload sequence of operations but when it failed... only the first message or maybe lthe ast message is visible.
FYI: I am using ".TXT" for the file ext...!
any idea?
