1. CC335, welcome to FTC. I hope you have great succes...well, less than my team at least.
2. Your website's background is extremely distracting, CC335, I would suggest changing it to something more plain so it's easier to read.
3. You do NOT need omni wheels to create a multi-directional robot. I would think you really only need about 5 motors, including drive motors. But considering there are not chains, you might need like 2-3 lego motors to turn.
4. The problem with multi-directional robots is that they are hard to drive. Especailly in a small FTC field. I would think it would be a more wise to spend time coming up with a solid design rather than tryint to build a comlex drive train, unless you plan on playing defense.
