Post Communication between SuperPro Board and Microcontroller
I am trying to interface the HiTechnic SuperPro board with an Atmel AVR microcontroller in a way that would allow me to quickly and easily send information back and forth between the microcontroller and the NXT. Something like I2C or SPI. I can't seem to figure out how the SuperPro would do this, though. It doesn't seem like any of the pins can send or receive data using these complex (and fast) protocols. Any ideas?

We've run into this issue as well. The only way around it, it seems, is to bit-bang the SuperPro board (we're using a heavily modified version of "SPI", if it can even be called that at such low speeds). If you figure something else out (having to do with the two analog ports, maybe?) please post your secrets here! :)

and also quadrotors. Quadrotors!

Ernest3.14 I just wanted to post a link to a repo that my team used to make a similar SPI interface but this was designed for an arduino not an AVR. Also after looking at your code on github it's worth noting that my teams version doesn't have data validation checks and acknowledgements and such but with the speeds you see on the HiTechnic super prototyping board we decided it wasn't worth the speed tradeoff. Also we put a little documentation on the Wiki pages for it but there is still a little development still underway.
