Post Vex Pic Ifi V.5 Rx/Tx ports for UART Comm. with Raspberry Pi
I want to use the Tx/Rx ports on my Vex for serial communication with a Raspberry Pi.
How can I accomplish this with RobotC? All I can find for using the Tx/Rx ports is for displaying on a Vex display, and I don't want that, I want serial communications, just like sendChar().

Thanks in advance. :-)

you can start here:

You don't need to use the XBEE just connect the TX on the PIC to the Rx on the Pi and the TX on the PI to the Rx on the Pic and connect PI ground to a PIC ground so they have a common ground. It should work. I haven't tried the connection with the Pi yet but have been successful connecting a PIC and a Cortex to an Arduino.

Thanks for the help, I got serial loopback stuff working with my Vex! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
So the problem was that I had a misconception of what uartOne and uartTwo were, I thought they were the Rx1 and Rx2 receiver ports on the Vex.
Thanks again! :D

How could I connect a raspberry pi to a cortex controller so that when I start a program on the cortex it plays audio from the raspberry pi? Thanks!
