Post New to NXTCam
I need help setting up my NXTCam. I have the V.2 and do not know how to connect to my computer to refine the color tracking. I try to download "NXTCamviewer" or something like that but it does not work. If someone could provide a link to what I need and give me a step-by-step on how to connect it to my computer then I should be able to take it from there.

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest taking a look at the sample code provided by Mindsensors, under the 'ROBOTC Library and Programs' link. You will need to unzip and copy the 'nxtcamlib.c' file into the ROBOTC 'Includes' folder (typically C:/Program Files (x86)/Robomatter Inc/ROBOTC Development Environment/Includes) in order to use the three provided sample programs. Mindsensors also has User Guides and Datasheets available for viewing on the same webpage.

Can you explain what kind of issues you were having with NXTCamView? You kind of need it to configure the colour ranges. It is possible to do it from the NXT but that's a total pain.

Thanks for the responses.
I am having trouble with getting the actual application. Is there a place to download it? I have had the NXTCam sitting around for a year or so and I don't know if it came with a CD or something of that sort or if I need to get it from the internet.

I have been trying to get this to work for a while now and I have discovered one main issue - I get "everything" downloaded but I get to the NXTCam Viewer app and right-click it and it says 'Repair,' 'Install,' and 'Uninstall' so something is messed up with how it is being installed or the link I downloaded from is no good?

Did you download it from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/nxtcam ... all/0.2.1/ ?

Post Re: New to NXTCam
Hi,

Can I use the NXTCam in an environment containing an infrared object. I mean, the infrared object is for another IR sensor, but not the Cam. But I want to use the Cam to detect other "visible colored" object at the same time. Will there be interference? I read from NXTCam's site that it has a built-in infrared blocking len. But not sure how effective it is.

I have no idea, I have not tested this.
