Post Trouble upgrading to 3.54 - USB-USB does not see robot
Hi:

I am upgrading to 3.54 from 3.08 and am having serious issues. The robotC will no longer acknowledge the robot any more. 3.08 was interacting with the robot just fine right before upgrading.

no communication link available is what I get with the download firmware.

I tried re-downloading the 64 bit driver files, the USB cable then reinstalled istelf seemingly properly. The USB cable appears to be there in view -> select communication port and I selected USB only as download method.

Test communications also says it can not see the robot. It gives "error 2(0x2) The system cannot find the file specified."

I aslo tired running robot C as administrator and even running in windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. No luck.

Any ideas?

Glenn

The 'Error 2(0x2) The system cannot find the file specified.' issue is known COM port handling issue and we are currently working on a fix. In the meantime, you may want to download and install the 3.55.2 Beta (link below) that should solve this issue. I apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused, and as always, we appreciate your feedback on any and all issues you may come across in ROBOTC.
