Post ROBOT CURIOSITY NASA
Bonjour

below videos of my robot " CURIOSITY" sent last august by NASA on Mars ;

it is drive by a PSP with a NXT brick ;

the arm in with PF ;

the big problem , as you can see on video , is the drive by wheel to go round ;

the turntable were " broken" ;

they could be improve like on the picture of a turn table ;

but it is not the best way ;

the second NXT brick would be used with a NXTBee to drive the " camera " ( IRseeker ) with servo ;

but I have to improve NXTBee ;

thanks to Xander for the drivers I used ;

here are the videos on YouTube :

That's a pretty cool looking robot! You should consider hosting your videos on YouTube so you can embed them in the posts on the forums.

Xander

Wow! That's big! I like the way you did the suspension. Not the full Rocker-Bogie that the real rovers use, but functional nonetheless. I once made a replica of the Sojourner (That's the first ever mars rover) but due to many flaws it wasn't able to move. I should really get around to uploading the pictures, because it was a good build anyway.

So very cool! How long did it take to build it? Also, that's a lot of PF L-motors and Technic frames.

I had to do several robots before ;

there is 6 L motors for wheels and 4 for drive ;

all are plug on NXT motor ;

tecnic frame are the best parts from lego ;

my son will try to put the videos on youtube ;

I am glad you enjoyed it ;

If I get some time this week, I'll make a post for it on the Cool Projects section on the ROBOTC site.
