Post Released: ROBOTC Driver Suite V3.1
There’s a new instalment of the Driver Suite. It’s still a bit of a work in progress at the moment, with regards to the RS485 stuff. I’m busy overhauling the RS485 code in the Dexter Industries dWifi and NXTBees, so for now, I would advise you to use temporary ones that John posted here: [LINK].

IMPORTANT NOTICE(S)!
  • The NXT2WIFI driver is still a bit funky. Like I said before, I am working on it!
  • The Dexter Industries dWifi and NXTBee drivers are also being worked on.
  • You can’t change the range in the Mindsensors Absolute Gyro yet.
  • This suite will not work with anything less than ROBOTC 3.54, make sure you update your IDE.

What’s new?
  • Added a driver and test program for the Mindsensors GlideWheel-AS sensor
  • Added a driver and test program for the Dexter Industries NXTChuck
  • Various fixes for stuff they changed since ROBOTC 3.51

Coming soon
A proper driver for the NXT2WIFI, dWifi and NXTBee

How can you help?
Send me your bug reports, tell me what’s not working for you. Alternatively, leave words of encouragement, kudos and/or compliments via email or in a comment. If you want to know how else you can help me, click here: [LINK].

Where can I download it?
You can get it at the usual place: [LINK].

Hello

it is a good new for NXTBee

I tried the sample and drivers from DEXTER to drive motors with 8 data to send and to receive ;

there is a big problems : the nxtbee works and suddendly all the datas are random ;

the first data in the master becomes the second one in the slave for exemple ;

and , the more I use a big program with many tasks for nxtbee , display and motors in my program , the better nxtbee works ;

if all is in the main of a small program as do Dexter , the worst it is ...

there is also problems to use the joystick PSP left or right ( not the buttons ) at the same time as the nxtbee in the master ;

may be as an expert you will find how to use nxtbee with PSP, key pad , touch panel ...;

thanks for all

didier

PS in your driver PSP , the rightbutton2 do not works when compiled the .c to use it ;

I tried several times ;

Hello

I set up the last robotc and bot bench ;

yesterday these files below were working ;

today , in the program who use " crosstalk.h " , there is an error ; see below ;

whatever could be the size of the ubyte ;

I do not understand why ?

perhaps have you an idea ?

thanks

didier

//----------------------------------------------------------------------
// crosstalk.h - XBee transmit and receive functions for byte and ASCII
// strings.
//
/// Created by Dexter Industries, 2011.
/// http://www.dexterindustries.com
//----------------------------------------------------------------------

int retVal = TransmitBytes(testBytes, sizeof(testBytes));

**Error**:Array size mismatch. Call to 'TransmitBytes'. Parameter: 'ubyte & buffer' is 'testBytes' of type 'ubyte [127]'.

Are these drivers part of the suite? If not, I would prefer it if you'd start a new thread about your issues. Only problems relating to the driver suite should be posted in this thread.

Thanks,
Xander

Hi Xander

Many thanks as always.

I'm having install issues. I updated to RobotC 3.54, and I can no longer find the 'directory for user include files platform NXT'. The preferences layout seem to have changed. I have tabs for NXT directories, files and directories but none mention user include. What dumb mistake have I made?

EDIT: Never mind, I found the answer here http://www.robotc.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=5066&p=21210&hilit=user+include#p21210
