Post Deactivating RobotC license
Since Windows 8 has RTM'd, I decided to install it on my laptop with a new 512GB SSD. Before I do that, I want to deactivate the RobotC license on the old hard disk so that I can reinstall RobotC to the new hard disk. But for some reason, when tyring to deactivate the license using the RobotC License Management dialog, the "Deactivate License" button is grayed out. Does anybody know how I can un-gray out the button?

If your using the 365-day license, it can't be deactivated. If your using the perpetual license, I don't know why you wouldn't be able to. I would suggest contacting RobotC support directly and see what they say.

It is a 365-day license. I failed to see the logic why it doesn't allow deactivation on those. There must be a need to transfer the license from machine to machine or simply upgrading hard disks.
365-day licenses are typically used by FTC teams. Team members may drop out, then that license is lost.

Just contact support@robotc.net and explain the situation. They may be more receptive than you think :)
