 Where's Miki?
Where did Miki go? I don't see any of his posts, or on the member list. He had some very valuable posts! Where's Miki?

Ohhhhh..... Oh, now I see him listed as a moderator. Was that part of the mistake, too?

 Re: Where's Miki?
Nope. I was trying to make him a moderator, and then subsequently clicked the wrong button which killed all posts.

 Re: Where's Miki?
Hi magicode, I just accepted the demand of vnguyen to do some moderation in some RobotC forum. I guess this increases the chance to worldwide ban spammers acting during U.S night While I do not work in any way for RobotC, I just hope to bring my contribution. I like the RobotC platform and I'll catch all opportunities to enhance it because it's worth it. Best regards Miki.

 Re: Where's Miki?
well, actually I envy you too ! Beside the lost of all my previous posts, my main computer, few hours ago, granted me a wonderful blue screen of death and now cant boot and stays silent as the grave. Even the BIOS beeps (indicating the lack of keyboard or graphic card) on boot are missing... some hardware has melted or so. . Since few days I noticed some screen flicker that I attributed to a recent nvidia driver update. I was wrong. This will give me the opportunity to clean a bit my desk. Hopefully, my laptop is still healthy and I can read my email and post topics... " C'est la vie!" best regards. Miki.

Oh. That's too bad. Did you check the capacitors? They're the most likely thing to go. If they're good, they have a flat top. If they're bad, they are all round and bulgey. It's almost like what happened to my dad's computer. Although, his has the ZOMBIE SYNDROME..... You press the power button, the fans turn on, and then...... nothing. Absolutely nothing. And so, is the power of the Computer Gods!!!! But seriously, try looking at the capacitors. It's usually the easiest thing to fail.

 Re: Where's Miki?
Hey Next-Gen, thanks for advices. I found one bad capacitor with round and slotted top on my graphic card (geforce 8600gt fanless). I removed the graphic card from mother board (assus P5K) and tried to boot the PC but it is still silent. I go on... EDIT: well no speaker is connected to my mother board (contrary to what I always thought) ! This explains a bit why it's so silent All visible capacitors of mb seems ok, so I don't panic . I'll try to find out a older graphic card tomorrow and test the whole mess. because it's what we like: testing system ...

 Re: Where's Miki?
Oh noes!!! I just realize that ANYONE who replied to one of Miki's topics has lost posts too!!! Itz the !337 endz of teh wrldz!!! Sorry. I just couldn't help it :^)On a more serious note, what exactly happens to a user when they're banned? And why is the "become a moderator" button on the same page as the "ban" button? Perhaps you should change that?

 Re: Where's Miki?
Not on the same page, per se. If you click on "Profile", you have the option of "Administrate User", or "OC Ban", on top of other options. Late nights scrambling to finish work and lack of caffeine were major contributors.

 Re: Where's Miki?
I banned my first spammer today. I admit I took a deep breath before clicking on ... [Ban] instead of [OC Ban]
