Post Laser Tag and Robotics
I played laser tag today, and while looking around at the insides of the gun (it was made of clear plastic), I noticed it had an XBee module in it. I was like "I work with those too!" and got all happy. Maybe I get excited too easily. Anybody else have those "I do that too!" moments when looking at professional products? I'm sure it happens to you developers all the time.

If he was doing some sort of team thing, the I would guess that perhaps it pings your target to see if it's an enemy? I don't know. I don't really like Laser Tag much.

Your guess is as good as mine (probably better), but I'm assuming that every gun has a distinct pulse frequency, and when you hit someone, their gun sends out the message that it was hit by said frequency. Then I either goes to a central module, or more likely from what I saw, each gun looks for feedback every time it shoots, and increases the kill count if it receives conformation.
