 Re: Wireless connection
Have you followed the connection steps to make a Samantha connection with ROBOTC? http://www.robotc.net/ftc/Setting%20up% ... ROBOTC.pdfAlso ensure that you are running the latest Samantha firmware (2.02 or higher) and that the computer you are programming with is connected to the same network as your Samantha module.

 Re: Wireless connection
There's a copy of it in the ROBOTC/firmware folder. You'll need to navigate to it (C:/Program Files/Robomatter Inc/ROBOTC Development Environment/Firmware/ - Also check /Program Files (x86)/ if on a 64-bit machine) Copy the Samantha.hex file to a flash drive and follow the directions for Samantha ( http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms ... -resources) to update your firmware.

 Re: Wireless connection
You can also find the latest Samantha version that is apart of the field management software. Samantha FCS Download (Current V2.20 9/10/2011) - Extract the file from the .zip file. Follow the FCS Installation instructions. - http://www.usfirst.org/sites/default/fi ... moV220.zip

 Re: Wireless connection
I am having trouble connecting to the NXT using Samantha. I see the brick using wifi, but the brick name is NONAME, although the address is WIFI::5096::192.168.1.108, which is the correct brick name and IP address. I am able to run the FCS using Samantha with no problems. I tried pressing the red button for one second and tried resetting the Samantha module. I confirmed I updated the USB drivers, I upgraded to 3.02, and I am running samantha version 2.2. Any ideas what else I can try?

 Re: Wireless connection
Ensure that you are in "NXT + TETRIX" as the platform type, otherwise Wifi Searching will not be enabled.
Try going to the link setup window and change your search type as USB + Wifi to scan over Wifi.
The NXT must have the latest ROBOTC firmware already installed, and firmware has to be installed over USB.
Lastly, make sure you press the red button on top of the Samantha module to "pair" the Samantha Module and the PC together.

 Re: Wireless connection
Can you please tell me the version number of the latest ROBOTC firmware so I can confirm it on the brick?

 Re: Wireless connection
9.01 for ROBOTC 3.01/3.02 9.02 for ROBOTC 3.03 and forward.

 Re: Wireless connection
I am still having problems. I reloaded the latest USB drivers and reloaded FW 9.01 onto the brick. I verified that Samantha 2.2 is loaded. I can connect the FCS software to Samantha via WIFI. In ROBOTC, I selected NXT+TETRIX as platform type, and I select search type of USB+WIFI. But when I search, the brick name is NONAME, although the address is WIFI::5096::192.168.1.108, which is the correct brick name (5096) and IP address. I can also ping the brick IP address from my computer.

 Re: Wireless connection
Correction, the brick name is Not Avail, not NONAME. I get an error message stating "ROBOTC was not able to connect to your NXT. Please ensure the NXT is powered on and connected via USB, Bluetooth, or Wifi. Note: you may need to press the Red Button on top of your Wifi module to pair the NXT and the Wifi module together. Please try to connect your NXT again."

 Re: Wireless connection
I am also having the exact same problem. I'm pretty sure all the firmware is updated. drivers are updated. running
9.03 (robotC) 3.03 (firmware 2.02 (samantha version) I've uploaded samantha.hex
I've run through the driver nxt_usb 64 to deal with the fantom driver issue. I can connect to the FCS and my Samostat recognizes me being connected to the adhoc network (the * in samostat)
RobotC simply cannot find the NXT via WiFi.......

 Re: Wireless connection
Any progress on this thread?
I've got a wireshark capture of it happening (attached).
If only I knew the right answer, I might be able to see what goes astray.
Anybody have specs of the messages that should get exchanged?

Like the other posts, I have updated drivers for the NXT, the samantha module and still not able to pair the NXT brick with RobotC via Wi-Fi. I can connect with Blue Tooth and USB, and the Field Control software has no trouble pairing. But RobotC shows the brick as Not Avail any suggestions?
