 Motors not stopping
Our motors are not working although we are using simple code
task main() { motor[port2] = 0; motor[port3] = 0; }
It just keeps moving. Thanks for any advice.

Based on your program, the motors should actually never move, since you didn't specify a duration after the motor commands.
What version of ROBOTC are you using? Have you downloaded the Master Firmware and ROBOTC Firmware to the robot?
Are you plugging 2-wire motors directly into the 3-wire motor ports? If so, remember that you need to use one of the Motor Controller 29 cables in between the motor and the VEX.
