 Hitechnic Compass Sensor Calibration
I was wondering if anyone knew if their is a specific function that needs to be called in order to calibrate the compass sensor. The Hitechnic site only gives specific directions for nxt-G, which are useless to me. The problem I have encountered is that while the program I have works fine on the field we have in our shop, but acts weirdly when placed on another field. My guess, is that I may need to calibrate the sensor on the new field for the program to function properly, but I could be mistaken. Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

 Re: Hitechnic Compass Sensor Calibration
If you download my driver suite (in my signature) and take a look at HTMC-test2.c it should be a little clearer what should be done.

 Re: Hitechnic Compass Sensor Calibration
Is it possible to logically erase the calibration of the HiTechnic compass? I do not mean recalibrating far away from anything magnetic, but resetting the calibration table in the memory back to a clean slate. I don't suppose that there are data sheets for these sensors ... :-)
Thanks.

 Re: Hitechnic Compass Sensor Calibration
There are, as far as I am aware of, no I2C calls to do this. I have access to far more detailed documentation than what is currently publicly available.
