I'm probably impatient, but it's now 22 minutes past the download start time, and I'm still eagerly waiting!

Ah! There is an EST in Australia which is several hours ahead. I suspect the countdown may have been in local time?

Re: Planet H99 Website now available!
I'm getting an HTTP 404 when I put in my details to get the download. I'm in Australia & put "Hawaii" in for "State" (as that is the nearest to us). Would this cause a problem?

Re: Planet H99 Website now available!
Downoad linked worked ok for me, but first time I didnt get asked what robot type. Refreshed page and two new questions showed up NXT or VEX.
Installed onto my Windows 7 laptop OK, doesn't run too bad with my Atom CPU, will try faster computer later.
Well done guys great addition to robotc!

Re: Planet H99 Website now available!
Interesting... Mozilla Firefox permits me to register & get the download - Internet Explorer 8 gives me a web page not found 404 error... Who cares - this looks fun!

Might I suggest that for those not living in the US to be able to enter their country instead? I am now a resident of Oklahoma and I'm pretty sure that Rotterdam, The Netherlands is nowhere near there - Xander

Re: Planet H99 Website now available!
I have a mac, so I was bummed when I found out the release was for windows only... right now I'm running H99 on a virtual pc on my macbook pro. It runs a bit slow and the graphics aren't as good as I'm sure they would be on a real desktop pc, but I suppose I can't complain. I love the Idea and I can't wait to give it a shot!

Re: Planet H99 Website now available!
Unfortunately, ROBOTC is Windows only right now, and this includes the Virtual Worlds. We do have several people here in the office that successfully ran the Tech Demo in a Virtual Machine. It works better on some virtual machines on than on others. It also depends on how powerful the Mac is. I suspect that my 2007 Macbook with Intel GMA950 graphics wouldn't run Planet H99 very well natively, let alone in a virtual machine. The monster Macs the guys have up here seem to run it OK, though.

Re: Planet H99 Website now available!
I also have a MacBoor Pro, one of the Core Duo ones from 2006. It has an ATI X1600 GPU w/ 256MB of rendering RAM. It works AWESOME with most Windows Graphical Games of that ERA anyway. It scores pretty high with the AquaMark 3D.
It would be GREAT if Plant H99 supported the Apple Environment natively. Are there any plans to do so?

Re: Planet H99 Website now available!
Thanks for the virtual learning world for robots! I've been teaching my stepson about robots (an interest of his). I've been wanting to get to 'programming' with him, but there is so much to do in the 'real' world before you can put a robot down on the ground and load a program (and a huge investment in hardware, if your schools don't have a robotics program). We did send him to a robotic camp last summer, where he was able to work with the VEX robots. I'm pleased to see I can build on that with your virtual world!
I am using a netbook with an Atom processor...takes the program a while to load, but not too long for everything else to work.
Everything looks great so far...I look forward to diving into this with my stepson. Thanks.

Re: Planet H99 Website now available!
It's good to hear that it's running fine on your netbook. That's encouraging.
