Post Difference Trial vs Full RobotC
Hey,

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the downloadable trial of RobotC and the Single-user licence version of RobotC?

Or are both of them exactly the same, but with a 30-day-evalution?

Is there also bluetooth support for downloading the programs to the NXT like the Lego NXT-G software?

Hi Donaldini

The Trial version and the Full version are exactly the same, just the trial version will expire in 30 days like you said. If you buy the software in the future, you can input your keycode and it will become a full version.

There is bluetooth support for the NXT, you will have to set that up using the Link Setup Wizard under Robot / NXT Brick in the upper menu

Have fun B-)

And is there a difference between a cd licence and a download licence?
Or are both the downloaded version and the cd version the same?

My point is: Will I be missing out on something if I buy an internet licence? :-)

The Internet liscence will only give you the keycode and you download the latest version, the cd liscence will send you a cd of RobotC and a keycode.

Hope this helps with your decision B-)

Yes, I already found that out on the site, but the thing I wanted to know was whether there was a difference in content between the cd and download version? Like: would there be more video tutorials on the cd which are not included on the download version.

Hello,

I've been told earlier there was no difference. Order the CD only if you need to have it labelled and inventoried.

If that is the only difference, then I don't really need a CD version, a download would be more interesting.

Thanks for your help everyone!

EDIT: BUMP!
Here's another question :-)

Th video tutorial that is on the site is only a preview, so I suppose there's a lot more? Now if I want to see more of the video tutorial I have to buy a Classroom licence of the "Teaching ROBOTC for Lego Mindstorms"??

Or do the other licences have all the tutorials too? Is it a teachers only thing?
Cause they've already been really helpful.

Which video are you asking about, do you have a link to it?

On the robotC site in the LEGO Mindstorms part (http://www.robotc.net/lego/ms_index.htm#) if you click on CDROM PREVIEW on the left you get a videotutorial for programming with robotC

Ahh ok found it, yes this is a sample of what would come in the teaching robot C for lego mindstorms cdrom. Right now it is only sold in a classroom license.

Hope this helps
