 Straight drift
I wrote a short Arcadecontrol program in RobotC for my Vex IQ clawbot. Even without the gyro installed, the robot drifts forward (slowly) even when the joystick is in 0 position. I tried re-calibrating, but no luck. My program is simple, I just set the Arcade mode and then Armcontrol for adjusting the speed of the claw and arm.
Thanks,
R

 Re: Straight drift
Try increasing the threshold (or "deadband") value, the third parameter in the arcadeControl command. This parameter tells to robot to essentially ignore any joystick commands within the +- 10 value range, and can help reduce drift if the robot is moving forward even when the joystick is centered.
