Post Automatic ring dispension bug
I just updated to the latest version of the FTC virtual world (2.5.2) and I no longer get a ring when I drive over the ring dispensing tiles.

Also, is there a changelog for the FTC virtual world anywhere? Nothing seems to be different except for the bug.

Hi SergeantFTC,
Make sure the robot's gripper is closed when you drive over the dispensing tiles in order to get a ring.

We have a blog post going out tomorrow with the change logs, but here's a preview:

  • Fixed Scissorbot's through-hole grip of rings
  • Fixed scoring bugs with floor goals (CS2N Competition mode)
  • Gripperbot's range of motion is now limited to make it specialized for picking up rings from the ground and scoring on low pegs
  • Added final score popups in Ring It Up mode
  • Fixed bugs with the behavior of rings that are hanging on pegs
  • Made "remember me" checkbox on login screen work properly
  • Added score submission for CS2N Competition mode

Cheers,
--Ryan

Thanks! :) That was the problem.

The remember me checkbox not working was a major annoyance for me, so I tried it out, but it still seems to be broken. Now it remembers my username, but the password fills the whole box (my real one doesn't) and when I click "log in", it says "An unknown error occurred when trying to log in to CS2N. Please try again." In addition, if after logging in correctly, (putting in my password manually) you click the back arrow in the lower left corner to go back to the login screen, it says "Welcome Guest". Hopefully that was helpful.

I don't need to know your password, but if you don't mind telling me (it's ok if you don't want to), how many characters are in your password?

Thanks very much! These bug reports were very helpful.

I don't see why my password should be the issue, I don't think it's really much longer than average, only 25 characters :P :D

Both bugs should be fixed (for real this time, in the case of the remembered password...) and will go out in the next maintenance release. Thanks for your help!

Best,
