Post nDatalogSize not recognized
I am assuming my problems with trying to use Datalogging has to do with nDatalogSize not being recognized as a system variable.

Opening and compiling the sample program NXT Datalog Test I get the error:

**Error**:Undefined variable 'nDatalogSize'. 'short' assumed.

This seems to be the correct variable according to the Help file.

RobotC version 3.62

Thanks, John

Can someone that has RobotC for Mindstorms go to sample files and open NXT Datalog Test? Does it compile without errors? What version of RobotC are you running?

Is anybody using Datalogging? If not what are you using to capture data?

If I declare nDatalogSize as an int or delete it I can actually get good data saved, but only the first time the program is run after turning on the power to the NXT.

I opened it up and got the same error you are getting. It looks like you figured out the fix for that particular issue. (I think they just forgot to put "int" in front of nDatalogSize.) As for your problem of only being able to save good data the first time it's run, I'm afraid I can't help you there. :(

Thanks for checking that for me. Let's me know it isn't something I did.

If I understand the one line of information in the help file correctly nDatalogSize is supposed to be a system variable that allocates memory space for Datalog. Since it isn't being set to a value the memory isn't set aside. First time run I'm putting data in clean memory (by luck?), after that who knows what's being put in that memory space.
