Post I am consistanlty getting "Error parsing configuration data"
Hello Robot Virtual Worlds forum, I installed Robot c and the Cascade Effects sample code but when trying to compile to access the virtual world I am getting the "Error parsing configuration data" message. I know that you cannot compile your edited code in trial mode but I thought that the sample code would allow you to experience the virtual bot in the Cascade Effects virtual world during its trial period.

What am I doing wrong?.

Thanks for any advice.

Please submit a screenshot of the error message to us, as we will need this information in order to help debug the specific problem. Depending on the specific issue, we may also have you submit a ticket to our support team via support@robotc.net with a description of the issue and the relevant screenshot(s).

The trial version of Robot Virtual Worlds is actually the full version of Robot Virtual Worlds, only on a time-limited trial mode. You should be able to compile your program(s) to the Virtual Worlds without any problems; just to clarify, is there any documentation/information sources that you saw that state otherwise? If so, we will definitely want to make sure that information is corrected to avoid any confusion in the future.

Thank you in advance!

I tried this on two platforms:
1. Dell Precision M6500 Mobile Workstation with 17 processor, 8GB RAM and two 350GB hard drives.
2. Dell Precision 370 Workstation with Pentium 4 at 2.8GHz (Hyperthreading activated) 3gb RAM over 1TB drive space

I used both Robot C 4.X and 3.x with the same results.

Judging from the error picture you posted, it looks like your setup isn't configured to use the Tetrix stuff. For 4.x, go in the menus to Robot->Platform Type and make sure the External Motor/Servo Controllers is checked. In 3.62, go to Robot->Platform Type->LEGO Mindstorms and make sure LEGO NXT + TETRIX/MATRIX is selected.
