Post Color Sensor not working in VEX IQ Challenge Pack using GUI
Hi,

I am using the GUI version of robotc. In the VEX IQ Challenge pack, i have selected the Clawbot IQ - line tracking robot. I have chosen port 3 to be the color sensor in the motors and sensors setup. When i run any code on any course and have the sensor debug window open, the color sensor (graycolor) always returns 0 no matter what colored surface the robot is over. I have tried the same setup with a real robot, and did not get the same problem. I have updated robotc to 4.26 and the problem remains.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Post Re: Color Sensor not working in VEX IQ Challenge Pack using
I have now managed to complete the Traffic Lights Challenge in the Sensors section of the VEX IQ Challenge Pack, stopping motors when the color sensor detects red, and running motors when it detects anything except red. However, when running the program, the color detector value displayed in the sensors debug window remains at 0 throughout. Why is this the case?

Thanks

Thank you for sharing this information. We will be sure to look into it. The light sensor should be functional although they do not report values to the debugger window. Please let me know if you run into any other issues regarding the light sensor's functionality.

Thanks, Lee

Regarding the color sensor + debugger: This is an issue with ROBOTC 4.26 and will be resolved in the next release.

Thanks.
