 Using Windows 7
We are having problems installing the prolific USB driver on a computer using Windows 7. Please help, as this is our most accessible computer for programming and we'd like to be able to compile and program the robot from the remote/joystick. Any tips? the directions for the driver installation work well for XP but windows 7 is not recognizing the connection to the robot. Thank you.

I have the driver installed on my Windows 7 64bit laptop. You downloaded the correct zip file? http://www.robotc.net/files/VEX_Win7_Driver.zipYou also need administrative privileges to properly install this. - Xander

 Re: Using Windows 7
We did download the driver for Windows 7 and followed the directions provided for installing the driver. It still doesn't properly work on that computer. We even uninstalled and started over. We just will use another computer since there seems to be no problem using Windows 7.

There are a few versions of the cable out there, which respond better to some drivers than others. VEX Robotics is the most knowledgeable group regarding which cable works best with which drivers. I would recommend contacting them here: http://www.vexrobotics.com/contact/contact
