Post best way to get this ball rolling
I've had some students come looking for help getting the programming side of things under control. I'm completely new to this and have never done anything like it.

We've got the software...we've looked at some sample code (it's makes sense)...our trouble is just getting all the equipment to talk to each other.

Specifically, we are having trouble getting the joystick to respond.

We see in the help documentation that there should be a "Debugger Window" option in the menu system that should lead us to troubleshoot our joystick...unfortunately we don't have that option in our RobotC software (we have version 1.40). Do I have to do something special to make that appear?

Are there any basic tutorials you could recommend to help get us started, with this kind of thing? We've seen the powerpoints and sample code on this site...they were helpful, but we haven't reached any success as of yet.

Thanks a bunch.

Here's a good picture of the wiring diagram: viewtopic.php?p=4052#p4052

As for getting started with ROBOTC, you should take a look at the videos on the website.

You should also update your version of ROBOTC to version 1.46. A link to do this can be found at the website.
