Post Joystick Troubles
Hi everyone, we are having some problems with our Logitech joystick controller. The left analog stick and the D-Pad are switched with each other, as in, when I adjust the left analog control, it comes up as being the D-Pad, and the D-Pad is the same, just towards the left analog control. If you have any ideas on how to fix this problem, please help. Thanks in Advance.

That is a feature of the game controller. The Mode button toggles the behavior of the game controller. When you press it you will notice that the red LED next it it turns on or off. It will work the way you want if you turn the light off.

I see what you mean, but there is one problem with that bit of advice: the light is off and this is happening...
When I turn the light on, the controls are in the right spot, but the left analog stick still functions exactly the same way that the D-Pad does, as in, it continues to only have straight up, down, left, right, and the combinations of those (up/right, down/left, and the rest of those).

Check your joystick settings, and install the Logitech drivers if you haven't. Make sure the Tophat (D-pad) and the left joystick are not swaped, then test it again. If the problem persists, contact Logitech.

There is a weird "mode" on the joystick to make this happen...

Remember, don't configure the joystick for any certain layout... all of these layouts of set on the computer, not the joystick, so they will not be remembered for when you go to the competition.
