Post Need Help with FTC Programming in Philadelphia...ASAP
Help Us!!! We are ready to try out the robot , but can't seem to get the programming right. We have two Motors hooked up to the back wheels and are using two servos for an arm. If someone is Near or IN Philadelhia, we would appreciate some help. We have a comp on Sat 2-28 and are at wits end.

Thanks

Frustrated Coach and Team

Servos may not be strong enough to lift the arm especially if you put pucks in your "basket." I tried two DC motors up there but couldn't wire them until we got another DC motor controller. I hooked up the two arm motors to the DC motor controller and was amazed at how strong they lifted the whole arm configuration. See if you can borrow a DC motor controller from someone because ordering and getting it in on time is out of the question. Good luck.

watch the webinars they are on the robotc main website. theese helped me a lot, i had infinitely close to 0 (no LaTeX here :( ) programing experience when i started the school year, these, the sample files, and my classmates helped me learn to code.

the first few are useful for the first 1/2 hour

PS: :) post some pics of ur robot, i will try to whip up some quick tele op code for you

Where in Philadelphia are you?
I live in Pittsburgh/Coraopolis. I have no driving license but I may get a ride.

*UPDATE*
Ok I checked Google maps and found that Philadelphia is very very far from my house. Are you going to the competition in New York in March?

The best plan is to do the walkthroughs and online tutorials to make sure that your setup and electronics are working.

Your last post seem to indicate that *nothing* was working. The tutorials should definitely get the robot moving if all your parts work.

If you get the robot moving and can describe your robot setup in detail and we can write some simple code to get you playing by Saturday.

Otherwise, describe exactly what part of the tutorials are not working for you.
