this is our first year entering.
I am a programmer and have been trying the programs on the nxt brain and running them on a small robot we built with the tetrix kit.
We finally finished building our robot for the competition, but we do not know how to connect the hitechnic dc motor controller to the nxt.
we tried to connect the wires on our own, but it doesnt work. the sample program did not work althought it was running properly. the battery was charged.

a picture of the mechanics behind the proper set up or a detailed explanation would be really helpful!!

I am having the EXACT same problem, basically, I'm doing this --> while the build team is doing this to the robot --> and the robot is doing this -->

The Tetrix manual inside the kit is really helpful on this.

Hi this is also my teams first year. We figured out how to connect the nxt you have to connect the usb cable (which you use to connect to the computer) to the hitechnic using the usb port on the hitechnic. sorry i cant give more detailed instructions right now i dont have it in front of me. once you do that (make sure to connect everything and turn on nxt before you turn the hitchnic on) wait a few seconds for it to boot completely and eventually the blue nxt light will turn on. which brings me to my next problem. how do you program the nxt to move the motors?



doesn't work and neither does



wont compile

so does anybody know how to write the code to make these engines turn?
