So to update the joystick driver, do I have to go into the joystick include file and simply replace the code with the one provided on the ftc training website?

Essentially, yes, you replace the JoystickDriver.c file with the new one. To help people out however, I have created a patcher that will do the work for you.

When I go to override the current joystick driver and basically copy and paste the new code, it won't let me save, it says the path isn't there, when the file is still in its original location.

I assume you're using Vista. If so, don't try and copy and paste the new code, just copy paste the new "JoystickDriver.c" file into the include folder and overwrite the old one.
