 motor encoder help?????
Hello i am haveing problems with these motor encoders i have tested them and then values that are returned are negitive for one motor and positive for the other they appear to be placed on right and both motors go in the same direction , i dont know how to fix this plz help! P.I.D control is off.
also when P.I.D. is on we cannot control the motor speed it just stays at 100

Use the "Reverse" checkbox in the Motor and Sensor Setup wizard to invert one of the two motors so that positive is forward for both motors.
You should not turn on PID control if you do not have the shaft encoders installed. Otherwise, you get the behavior you are describing.

both motors are going forward but one encoder is counting negitive. if i reverse the motor then would the motors not go forward?

OK. Let's see. The shafts of your motors are pointing away from each other: =[motor] and [motor]=
Right? In order to make the robot move forward or backwards instead of spinning you either need to set the two motors to different values (one positive and one negative) or you need to set one motor to be reversed in the Motor and Sensor Setup wizard. Which of these are you doing?
You may not have any control over the positive or negative values that you get from the encoders. After all, no mater which of the above methods you pick, one motor really is going the opposite direction of the other one.
