Does the warboss go *into* the catapult? You could fit an army of Orcs in "Da Robopult". WAAAGH!! Regards, Xander

Re: NXT + VEX = REALY LARGE ROBOT!!!
holy bible what a size! and those wheels really attract me. esp. the ones in front! am I right, you can attache them to nxt motors? They look as if you can easily build an omnidirectional drive with them...?

Re: NXT + VEX = REALY LARGE ROBOT!!!
wow, those VEX and "School of Robotics" stuffs are really amazing! I guess I need to make new plans considering my 6-axis robo arm especially those 2 kits really look fine: http://www.vexrobotics.com/vex-robotics-claw-kit.shtmlhttp://www.vexrobotics.com/vex-robotics ... -kit.shtmlI'm curious if they fit to Lego NXT or TETRIX parts and motors ? Or can the VEX motors be plugged to NXT ports or the HiTechnic motor mux? How strong are the VEX motors compared to the Lego motors?

Re: NXT + VEX = REALY LARGE ROBOT!!!
The VEX shafts fit losely in the NXT motors, but still catch the shaft key. Btw, an FTC kit is coming for my team, and I will be testing code with that robot. Eventualy, the robot will compete in the FTC, but I have to make it a little smaller. Good thing Tectrix has the parts to make it smaller, and a drive system to replace the NXT motors so that they can power the puck retrieval system.

I don't know. Btw, I'm going to use a modified version of the arm.

Re: NXT + VEX = REALY LARGE ROBOT!!!
The one on the robot. I rebuilt it to use forks instead of a catapult. I also added a shaft with wheels to collect pucks. Still waiting for that kit though... Edit: Here are the pictures of the arm:
