 All this freaking kitchen spam!
[rant]I am sick and tired of seeing new topic notifications that are kitchen spam! Can't we have a better screening process? Like, I don't know, have an E-Mail conversation? Anything to stop this automated chaos.[/rant] This rant brought to you by an annoyed kid who doesn't like people who break rules.

Re: All this freaking kitchen spam!
Me too! What might work is "moderator crowd-sourcing": like a vote button on every topic where you vote whether a page is spam or not. After 3 or so posts are made to the topic the button could disappear, so that other rabble-rousers don't delete normal topics. Once about ten or so votes are cast the topic either becomes official or is deleted, of course with official moderators being able to delete and protect topics at will.

Re: All this freaking kitchen spam!
It seems to be new user accounts, so a better screening process might help a lot.
BTW, as much as the posts/topics about kitchen stuff annoy me, I am thankful they aren't about certain other things.

Re: All this freaking kitchen spam!
How about you block any post containing the word "kitchen"? I think the only time I've ever seen it said here is in spam.

Re: All this freaking kitchen spam!
The good news is that I have been looking to remodel my kitchen in the future, so it's kind of convenient...
All joking aside, I'll be back from VEX Worlds Sunday and should be able to help contain the spammers then. I will also talk to Vu and see what our options are for stricter filtering to hopefully prevent some of the spam.

Re: All this freaking kitchen spam!
John, it is only convenient if you have plans to move to the UK, since they're all UK based kitchen resellers. However, if you'd like me to ask around, I can see if we can find some Pittsburgh-based kitchen spammers for you.

What if someone programs a Kitchen Assistant ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5eExH04jQ4) in ROBOTC?

Re: All this freaking kitchen spam!
I am literally grinding my teeth at this. It just makes me so dang upset that they defile the forum this way. Like I should send a ban-hammer robot to their house to whack and brand them with "BANNED!!!".

Re: All this freaking kitchen spam!
You're just going to give yourself a stomach ulcer, it's not worth it. They spam, one of the mods deletes. It takes about 3 minutes per day of our time. Thanks for reporting them, though = Xander
