Post subject:  Single phase AC servo motor Control

Hello,
I am really confused that how to control the speed (rpm) of my Single phase 1 HP Servo motor using PWM by PIC16F877A micro-controller.
What hardware and Code should i use to interface my 1 HP servo motor with PIC16F77A for controlling it's speed.
Please help, it's urgent........
Thanks in advance.

Note that these forums are for issues with ROBOTC, the only version of which that has been for PICs targeted the VEX PIC controller, which exclusively used PIC18F8520s in a fixed configuration. You might get a better response by posting in Microchip's forums or perhaps in an online community for users of your model of servomotor.

Hi Kapil,
In order to help you out, we'd really need more information on the specific model of servomotor. Cheap servos targeted for use with consumer radio control equipment use a standardized pulse width modulation control signal, but I would suspect that your 1HP motor doesn't fall under this category. Can you post the make & model number, or a datasheet?

Cheers,
