 Joystick Direct Operation
Hello! I am a rookie at all of this. I want to use the controller to move and operate all the servos and motors, but everything a find on the site appears to be about advanced pprogramming. How can I use the VEX controller and VEX EDR Cortec to give simple commands by using the joystick and buttons instead of elaborate programing? I was also told that you can use your controller on the computer to help get familiar with its use. I can't seem to find this. Please help, DK

 Re: Joystick Direct Operation
What exactly are you trying to do? If you're struck with something specific, someone will help you, but you need to explain more specifically. As to the elaborate programming, I'm not sure what you mean. have your tired looking around the ROBOTC website? Here's a place to get started: http://www.education.rec.ri.cmu.edu/pro ... index.html

 Re: Joystick Direct Operation
Also in ROBOTC, if you go to File > Open Sample Program > Remote Control, you'll find a number of sample programs that are pretty simple.
