Unable to Install RobotC Firmware to Cortex
Currently using Version 2.25.1
I have followed the instructions on the help and getting started pages verbatim. We are able to download the MasterCPU software, but when we attempt to install the RobotC firmware, we are unsuccessful. We receive a bootload error and an unable to erase flash memory error. We are installing using the USB A-A cable. We have gotten it to work twice before, randomly. We have tried using a different USB cable, a different reinstall of the software and firmware, and we have been unsuccessful each time. We've gotten a replacement Cortex, so unless both of them had problems, that is not it either.
Are we missing a step, or doing it incorrectly, or is there another way we can do this?

Re: Unable to Install RobotC Firmware to Cortex
We've seen that some USB ports have trouble actively maintaining a connection with the Cortex. The best solution is to use the orange programming cable and VEXnet Joystick to transfer the ROBOTC Firmware wirelessly. The other thing that may help is to enable "Message Tracing" in ROBOTC. The last two pages in this document describe how to enable Message Tracing: http://www.education.rec.ri.cmu.edu/pro ... sample.pdf
