I have version 1.08 of Robot C for vex.
I can download programs fine as long as the debugger window never opens. For some reason it just greys out and crashes the computer. I tried to update to the newest version but I dont have admin rights to this computer, being a school computer. Does any one have any ideas how to fix this problem?

Unfortunately, the next step I would've told you is to delete the Registry values but you said you don't have admin rights so that's not happening.

Which Debugger window are you referring to? The Program Debug window that has the "Start" button on it?

The one that normally starts when the program gets downloaded into the robot.

It can also be opened with a button on one of the menus.

Yes, that's the Program Debug window. And if it's not coming up automatically then there's an issue with the install. Since the current versions is 2.0.2, I'd say for you to try to find a way to update your version since it is over a year and a half old.

Ok I decided to try some things to find out what might be wrong with it. I found two things. The first is that the debug gets stuck on the "checking RCX ROM or RAM for responce" step. Not sure what that is but I know its not supposed to get stuck there. The second thing is that the Robot-C program is unable to register control 'MSFXGRD.OCX'. I googled both of these but was unable to find any thing of any use.
