 Vex UART functions
I can't believe nobody else has asked this.
I noticed when I downloaded 2.01 that it said all built-in functions are documented.
How about these five:
bXmitComplete() GetChar() SendChar() SetBaudRate() SetSerialPortModule()
No info in a help search. Are they real functions or just place holders?
PS Is there another forum where all the RC vex people hang out? There isn't much activity here.

 Re: Vex UART functions
Replied in support ticket:
With ROBOTC 2.01 you can control the user-accesable UART. Look at the sample program \ROBOTC for IFI\Sample Programs\VEX\Advanced\UserSerialPortControl.c
We respond to user's requests in regard to features. The CMUcam is a very limited use feature, where as the VEX LCD and VEX Speaker capability are a very popular feature with users. It's impossible to please everyone though.
Once the new VEX Cortex processor comes out, all of the CMUcam features and additional features will be used, but because of the limited space available on the VEX processor we simply cannot have every feature available.

 Re: Vex UART functions
Thank you for the response.
The CMUCam isn't as important as the UART, because I can use another processor for it, using the UART to communicate.
You say limited use; does that mean it can be used a little? I was given the impression it was not functional at all.
