Post Downloading a program from a robot onto a computer
We use two laptops for our robot, and because of the recent blizzard we have been unable to get the laptop with the recent program on it. Is there any way to download a pre-existing program that is on a cortex and download it onto a blank file? I really need to get to work on the program, but I can't get it. The one time I forget to back up the file. . .

Only the complied version gets sent to the Cortex. Even if you got the file off the Cortex it is not the RobotC code you wrote.

Okay, thank you. I thought so, but I couldn't be sure since it was never addressed. It would be a cool addition for the RobotC program, and much easier to manage if you forgot a computer when at a competition, practice, et cetera.

It would be very cool, unfortunately, there is simply not enough storage space on the Cortex (and most other robotics systems) to store both the source and compiled versions of a program.
