Post AlphaRex Basic Walking Program
Hello fellow programmers!

As a summer programming challenge, we were able to create any robot of our choice. I made the choice to make the Alpha Rex robot. Building it was complicated enough until I tried to program it to walk forward. I am using RobotC (NOT Tetrix) I know it is possible. But it would be a great help to have something to work with.

Thanks in advanced!

If you look closely, you will see that the legs are just cams. That means by telling the motors on its legs to move, the robot will "walk". All the motor on the back does is rotate his arms back and forth, I think.

Hi,

Yes, Ernest3.14 should is correct. Alpha Rex uses all 3 motor ports on the NXT. 2 are for the legs, which function like cams. The final one is used as a turntable (not exactly) to rotate the arms.

Good Luck,
