 Re: new EV3
Sorry, but i am not familiar with the different versions. I guess the edu is "education". Correct? What is the version that I will need for home usage? What are the differences between the different versions? Are there major price differences?
Thanks!

 Re: new EV3
The retail version has a different selection of sensors and bricks than the educational version. The details of the Bill of Materials of the retail version is not public information yet, apart from the sensors and motors. The retail version has 1 touch, 1 colour, 1 IR Sensor, 1 IR remote control/beacon, 2 large motors and 1 medium. The edu version has 2 touch, 1 colour, 1 US sensor, 1 gyro, 2 large motors and 1 medium (don't quote me on the educational version, I don't own one) Both have the same brick. The retail version comes with software, the edu requires you to buy to it. Both edu and retail will run ROBOTC, of course (it just needs to be ported to EV3). = Xander

 Re: new EV3
Man, I really can't wait. A question for Xander, will the EV3 require a new set of drivers for RobotC, or will your current Driver Suite continue on through EV3?

 Re: new EV3
Xander already has an EV3 , so I'm guessing his drivers are compatible with EV3.

 Re: new EV3
Yeah, once the EV3 version of ROBOTC is working, I'll start with the driver suite.

 Re: new EV3
It may be a little while before ROBOTC for the EV3 is totally up and running = Xander

 Re: new EV3
Pics or it didn't happen Here's mine (but I've had this box for a little while now). I haven't opened this box (or the the two technic ones behind it) yet, waiting to take them on vacation with me I use other EV3s for development. = Xander
