I am running v. 3.50 and typed in the following code:

setFriendlyName("bob");

I get the following error: calling procedure 'setFriendlyName'. 'const' expressions does not fit. Parameter: 'string & sFriendlyName'. Expression: ' "bob" '. Type: 'string'

I ran the same code on version 3.05 and it ran. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know about 3.5, but it works fine in 3.54. Why aren't you running the latest version?

Downloaded 3.54. Same issue unless I declare a string variable first:

string name ="bob";
setFriendlyname(name);

I didn't have to declare the variable with older versions, just type in "bob" into the function call.

I got it working but I don't get why? I'm not a programmer so any explanation for my understanding would be great.
