 Installation errors
Hi. I have just downloaded robotC as a trial in anticipation of purchasing. however, when i double click the application icon on my desktop i immediately get errors - lots of them. Unexpected error #18 INVALID LFHANDLE -- for example.
I am not a Windows user (use Mac) but have purchased a PC laptop and windows 7 just for this project.
Ok.. so what do i do next? Shall i buy the license code and try ? but then how do i insert code if i can't start up the software?
any advice is most welcome.
THANK YOU. michael

 Re: Installation errors
First time you run ROBOTC, right click on the icon on the desktop and do a "run as administrator". This will allow you to set the license stuff (like trial or real). When you've done that, close ROBOTC again and run as a normal user - Xander

 Re: Installation errors
Xander is correct, you will have to run as administrator first time through to get all the first time setup done correctly. The trial version is the full version of ROBOTC (but on a time limit), so we would want to make sure you get that working first before you make a purchase. The good news is that upgrading from a trial to a full version is a fairly simple process. Let us know if it works for you!

 Re: Installation errors
got th connection to my NXT robot .. fine.
next up is to look at the Robot Virtual World . so i downloaded the NXT version and tried to install. Install wizard gives me Error 1316. a network error occurred while attempting to read the file /../ ROBOT C for MINDSTORMS.msi
I quit ROBOT C and restarted the computer. No joy. I opened ROBOT C and tried to download and install. No joy.
Again, being a Mac user I am flummoxed. Can you advise what to do next as I wish to trial the virtual world portion of your ROBOTC program.
Thank you.
