Bug not known to me -but then neither was the emulator!

The strange shape was repeated on my system too. Some coordinates would produce a good ellipse and others would not.

The resolution was changing some 16-bit variables to 32-bit variables in the emulator. The 16-bit value was overflowing. It's fixed for the next release.

An update on the next release? It was originally announced to be in early November, then December, and now it's January.
