I was trying out basic remote control example (from the file NXT 2 Joystick Drive.c) using a Logitech F310 gamepad.
When I ran the program on the NXT robot, I found that only one wheel was turning. I opened up the 'Joystick Control - Basic' debugger window and observed the following.
1) the right joystick position in the debug window (inidcated by the square) remained stationary despite the actual right joystick being moved. 2) when I pressed the left-right buttons on the D-pad (i.e. above the left joystick), I observed the position of the right joystick in the debug window moving moving left and right.
It appears that the RobotC program is showing the wrong joystick and button status within the joystick debugger window. When I did a calibration test using the windows OS game controller setup dialogs, the joystick position and button status were correctly shown.
I am trying out v3.04 on a Win7 notebook.
Appreciate any advice I can get here. Thanks.

Re: Unable to get value for joystick on gamepad
Try pressing the mode button on your controller. That should solve the problem.
