NXT drivers not available. They need to be installed
Hi all,
I get this error when I try to compile and download the program into the brick.
Version 1.10 on a Vista PC ! I definitly installed the Lego NXT driver 1.02 !
When i connect my brick to the PC , i get a pop-up on the taskbar to say that he found the LEGO mindstorm !
What do i have to do ?
Kind Regards
John,

Hi Onderluitenant
Did you set up a connection to the NXT using the link setup wizard? You have to configure a connection to the NXT before you can download a program. The setup wizard lets you setup usb or bluetooth connections with the NXT.
The setup wizard is under Robot/NXT Brick in the upper menu.
Hope this helps B-)

Hi Scott,
That's just the problem : when i go to Robot/NXT Brick/Link Setup, i don't get the Link Setup screen but the error 'NXT device driver not available'.
I already removed and reinstalled the driver with no luck!
Is it not a Vista problem?
Kind Regards
John

Ahh ok, have you downloaded and installed the Vista compatible RobotC found under downloads on the RobotC main page? Also on that page, there are drivers for the NXT, try downloading and installing one of those. I think the RobotC NXT drivers are different from the NXT drivers that come with the NXT kit.
Hope this helps
