Post RobotC for Linux?
Are there any plans for the use of RobotC for Mindstorms on other OS like Ubuntu or RedHat?

Just in case your wondering of a way to run it under linux: I have it running under virtualbox & win xp pro. (Working with both bluetooth and USB).. I've also used it under vmware.

The ide/compiler itself may work under wine, but I doubt either usb or bluetooth will.

Native linux support would definitely be nice.

Post Re: RobotC for Linux?
I have been able to get v3.02 working for Ubuntu Linux using WINE (writing code, compiling, setting up NXT/Tetrix motor controllers). However, I am wondering if, under WINE, there is a USB compatibility layer. I'd try it myself, but I don't have a brick with me that I'd take the risk of bricking because of a faulty re-flash caused by WINE incompatibility.

I also agree that native support would be nice, especially since the FIRST Field Control System has a Linux version; all we'd need is a Linux version of LabView and a Linux version of RobotC. Still, I doubt it will happen since the developers have already stated that Linux/Mac are out of the question, since it would lower the quality of the Windows version. Not to insult or any thing, with the recent bugs who'd notice a couple more?

There is no risk of killing your brick that way.
