I bought RobotC back in 2007 and have a
"ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS 2.0 Single User License".

Can anybody explain the difference of these upgrade options?

1) 0$
ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS 3.0 365-Day Single License (2011 2.0 Upgrade)
Non-Expiring Version of ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS 3.0 - Single License

2) 0$
ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS 3.0 365-Day Single License (FTC Offseason Upgrade)
Non-Expiring Version of ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS 3.0 - Single License

3) 30$
ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS 3.0 Non-Expiring Single License (Pre-2011 2.0 Upgrade)
Non-Expiring Version of ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS 3.0 - Single License


Ok, 3) seems to be a full upgrade.

But what about 1) and 2)?
The title says "365-Day" license, the line below "Non-expiring"?
Does it expire after one year or not?

And what are the (other) consequences of "upgrading" a V2 license this way?
This means I lose the complete license after one year?

You want RobotC for MindStorms, right? If so, here's the basic:

1. If you purchased a 2.0 license in 2011, then you can upgrade to a 3.0 license that works until they release 4.0.
2. If you purchased a 2.0 license before 2011, then you get the same license as number 1 at $50 off.
3. No matter when you purchased a 2.0 license, you can upgrade it to a annual license that works for 365 days. That one has to be renewed.

So, I think that your best value would be option 2: Upgrade your 2.0 license to a perpetual 3.0 for $30 instead of the normal price of $80.

If this "works until 4.0 is released", why is it called "365-Day" license?

Okay, I checked there and it doesn't match what is at the other place. Somebody should probably tell RobotC about that.

But, for you, the top option will upgrade your 2.0 license to a 365-day 3.0 for free. The bottom option will upgrade it to a perpetual 3.0 license for a fee of $30. That's a $50 savings then normally buying it.
