Unless this feature is within the options and i just havent enabled it. Thanks for taking the time to read this. :D Implementation of minimizing tasks

Thanks meow! How to control the motor follow a set of points smoothly

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   I would like to get some simple rs232 comms between an NXT and another computer using a USB to RS232 adapter. The debugPrint command would seem to be OK for the NXT, but how do I poll from the other device? Is there a special message to be sent from the PC to the NXT to request data from the circular buffer? Thanks for your help. RS232 comms using debugPrint?

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   At low battery levels the NXT can exhibit unpredictable performance. This problem exhibits itself when the battery level is high enough to operate the CPUs on the NXT but it is not high enough for the slightly higher voltages required to program flash memory on the NXT CPU. The NXT will behave OK until you perform an operation that tries to write to flash memory. At low voltages, the flash memory operation can result in corrupted memory at unpredictable addresses, not just the address that is... "Clicking" Brick and Unpredictable Performance - L

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   ROBOTC has a powerful debugging capability in its 'exception' checking capability. An exception usually occurs because of either a programming error or an attempt to use non-existant functionality. For example: Trying to write to the system 1-msec clock will generate a "read only" exception. . Accessing arrays beyond their size will give an "array out of bounds exception". Stack overflow / underflow exceptinos -- usually from trying to nest too many subroutine calls. And... Debugging ROBOTC Exception Reports

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   I've been trying to use labview with standard firmware for nxt to nxt coms but it is far too slow- I have two nxt's controlling two sets of three legs (so that is 3 master to slave mailboxes and three slave to server mailboxes). With standard firmware this coms is far to slow about 1/4 of a sec for all to catchup from slave to server. Seems that slave to master is not proactive like master to slave is and the master will check it's mail boxes when the lego firmware designers felt would be a... question on NXT to NXt coms

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   I've been trying to do Bluetooth communication using the mailbox system on the NXT. I need to be able to do controls algorithms as well, so I can't do it in NXT-G. So far I've gotten a com port set up on the PC side and I can transmit and receive messages correctly. However, I've been unable to get the NXT side of things working using RobotC code. After searching the forums and the documentation/include files I've found a few different functions. The NxtMessageHandler.h file has a bunch of... Bluetooth - transferFile, cCmdMessageRead, and documentation

Or is everyone who uses it simply use it for the tilt data? -- David Trotz Accelerometer data smoothing

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   hi When and where do we use mtrEncoderReg ? I assume it's when you use nMotorEncoderTarget[] and the PID fonctionality, but when I try this: (it's strange, I know...) Nothing change but it's OK when I use mtrNoReg and the mtrSpeedReg . Because when we use the standard for example, it always overshoot to 91 or 92 ?? mtrEncoderReg ??

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   Hi I just registered my robotC this morning!! :) Very interesting language !! Firstly, i'm french so apologize for my english writing ;) Regarding this program written below, NXT motor synchronisation , that I found in the sample programs from your website: 1) I assume that you use the PID closed loop but why didn't you use this declaration at the beginning ? : And then if motor C ISN'T slaved to motor A , do we still have to write these two lines? : 2) Why RobotC wizard generate this line? :... PID, motor and const declaration...
